Philippians 2:4 (NET) "Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well."
The mission of the Congregational Care Ministry is to be a presence in the lives of our members during times of crisis and celebration, either directly or indirectly. Our Congregational Care Ministry recognizes that God cares deeply about our life-cycle events. Jesus was at a celebratory wedding in Cana (John 1:1-2), and He wept with Mary and Martha at the tomb of their brother, Lazarus (John 11:33-35). Jesus' disciples were there as well, and so His church must do likewise.
The scope of Christ Community's Congregational Care Ministry includes congregational phone calls and prayer, bereavement care following the death of a loved one, facilitation of cards and flowers/plants to members, hospital/home visitation, and communication with Christ Community's leadership team regarding key life events.
Christ Community's Congregational Care Ministry is typically part of the immediate response team following a significant event in the life of Christ Community church members, and is the point of check-in to allow our members know they are seen and loved throughout all life events.
