Galatians 6:2 (NET) "Carry one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."
The mission of Broken Hearts Connection ministry is to provide support to members in times of loss and challenge in ways that extend beyond the immediate event, putting actions behind our words over time. Broken Hearts Connection assist members on their journey through severe illness, loss, family incarceration, and eternal life transitioning by listening; running errands (e.g., picking up groceries, transportation to a medical appointment; excludes transportation for minor children), and providing basic household cleaning in cases where the member is unable to do so.
Broken Hearts Connection is meant to be the proverbial "boots on the ground" to coordinate with other Christ Community ministries where where grief counseling may be needed (Christ Community Counseling Center), children and teens are facing their own challenges in the household (Young Christ Nation & Kid City Children's Ministry), financial education is needed following the loss of a job (dfree Ministry), or outright food and financial support (The Storehouse Benevolence Ministry within the guidelines of that ministry). Broken Hearts Connection also can provide assistance in helping to seek out resources beyond Christ Christ Community, even serving as a sounding board to those members in need.
Members of Broken Hearts Connection consist of Christ Community members who themselves have walked through some of the most difficult journeys and now are prepared by God's grace to help members who find themselves on their own difficult journey. The goal of Broken Hearts Connection is to be a source of comfort in the small matters to make it easier - or at least less stressful - for our members to walk a loss journey.
