1 Timothy 2:1 (ISV) "First of all, then, I urge you to offer to God petitions, prayers, intercessions, and expressions of thanks for all people..."

The mission of Christ Community's Prayer Ministry is to undergird Christ Community in all areas of ministry involvement with effective prayer, interceding specifically and persistently for our leaders, members, ministries, communities, nation, and world. Christ Community's Prayer Ministry was the very first ministry of the church, in place even before the first public worship service, and the Lord by His grace, has blessed us tremendously.

In covering Christ Community in prayer, our intercessory prayer members "stand in the gap," praying for our adoring and obedient response to God's presence, for God's salvation, for God's direction, and for God's protection. We also stand in the gap with prayers of confession. We pray through Sunday services and we pray daily through the week - at times together and at times in our own homes. We pray for Jesus Christ be known and worshipped by all peoples near and far.

Intercessors in Christ Community's Prayer Ministry also pray with our leaders and members, and we serve with our leadership in Corporate Prayer. Prayer also involves listening for and to God's voice during prayer, in accordance with His Holy Word, as led by the Holy Spirit.

The Bible teaches that every Christian is called to pray. Members of Christ Community's Prayer Ministry recognize an additional call to intercede on behalf of others, understanding that prayer is the very breath of all we do for God's Kingdom to come, and for His will to be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
