Matthew 25:37-40 (NLT) “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see You hungry and feed You? Or thirsty and give You something to drink? Or a stranger and show You hospitality? Or naked and give You clothing? When did we ever see You sick or in prison and visit You?’ And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these My brothers and sisters, you were doing it to Me!’"
The mission of Christ Community's Social Justice Ministry is to build a more just, inclusive, and engaged society, in keeping with the living example and teachings of Jesus Christ. Our Social Justice Ministry engages in advocacy, education, service, and voter registration to confront injustice and uplift marginalized communities.
The Social Justice Ministry is committed to advancing racial equity and economic justice as expressions of our faith in action. We seek to amplify marginalized voices and promote fair access to resources, opportunities, and dignity for all. We also recognize civic engagement as a vital tool for justice and actively support voter registration and education to empower underrepresented communities.
Through advocacy, education, community partnerships, and direct service, the Social Justice Ministry strives to build a beloved community where justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. Guided by Christ’s love, we work to build a more just, inclusive, and engaged society.
