A native New Yorker, Lisa Miller Autry believes that true life and empowerment are found in Jesus Christ and His Kingdom presence and principles. She is an ordained minister who serves in a wide range of leadership functions at Christ Community, co-founded with her husband and the Senior Pastor, Dr. Terrence Autry. As the great-granddaughter of the Rev. George Frazier Miller - one of the “Original 29” of the Niagara Movement with W.E.B. Dubois, Lisa carries a multi-generational passion for a holistic gospel that uplifts people for God’s Glory.
Lisa’s ministry also incorporates an extensive business background. In the 1990s, she became the first African American Corporate Banking executive in Texas for her national bank, serving as a trailblazer throughout her banking career. Lisa retired from banking in 2019 as Senior Vice President & Market Manager over Dallas Commercial Banking. Lisa now serves as a consultant to churches and other non-profits through her firm, Acceleration Advisors, She also is the author of Holy Borrowers: Equipping Church Leaders for Building Finance, and was a contributing devotional writer to Aspire: The New Women of Color Study Bible published by Zondervan.
Lisa’s educational background includes a Master’s degree in Cross-Cultural Ministries from Dallas Theological Seminary, an M.B.A. degree in Finance & Marketing from The Anderson School of Management at UCLA, and a B.A. degree in Economics from Brown University. She has served on numerous boards, including the board of Dallas Leadership Foundation, the board of WorldVenture global missions organization, and the Executive Committee of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce board. Lisa currently serves as the Chairperson of Let’s Elevate, Inc.
Lisa’s heartfelt passion is for every person to know the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior, that they might fully experience His love, purpose, and power in their lives. She and her dynamic husband have been married for nearly 36 years and are the proud parents of two young adult sons, Terrence, II and Daniel.
