Ecclesiastes 4:9 (GNB) "Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively."
The mission of Young Ladies With Intent (YLWI) is to empower young women to have thriving relationships with Jesus, providing a nonjudgemental environment of spiritual growth, healing, and belonging.
Our ministry is dedicated to uplifting and empowering young women to grow in our faith, develop meaningful relationships, and make a positive impact in our communities. YLWI aims to empower young women by offering services and support that cater to our unique needs and challenges.
During our "Let’s Hangout" event, our group connected so well that we decided to stay connected through Instagram. The ladies desired consistent connections through activities such as Bible study, brunch, community service, and celebrating each other’s accomplishments. The impact of our ministry motivated us to meet for brunch, watch the movie "Forge" together, and connect through a Bible app study plan. We also began celebrating each other’s victories, including recognizing the group’s recent baptism candidates!
Places to Connect in 2025:
- Mentorship Programs: Young women can connect with more experienced mentors who provide guidance, share life experiences, and help navigate various life challenges.
- Bible Study Groups: These gatherings focus on scripture, fostering a deeper understanding of faith and its relevance to everyday life. Discussions often encourage participants to share insights and support one another.
- Workshops and Seminars: Topics may include financial planning, self-esteem, mental health, and career planning, equipping young women with practical tools for success.
- Service Projects (collaborating with all ministries): Engaging in community service allows participants to give back and develop a sense of responsibility and compassion. Activities may include volunteering at local shelters, organizing food drives, or participating in environmental clean-up initiatives.
- Retreats and Conferences (collaborating with all of Inspired Women in Community Women’s Ministry): These events provide a space for reflection, learning, and bonding. They often feature guest speakers, breakout sessions, and opportunities for worship and fellowship.
- Social Events: Quarterly gatherings such as game nights, movie nights, and outings foster friendships and community among participants, helping to create a supportive network.
