Overview C.A.R.E.S. "Greeters" Ministry First Touch Decision Counselors Next Steps New Members Team

The mission of First Touch Decision Counselors ("First Touch") is to minister to anyone who walks through the doors of Christ Community who is in need of salvation, a church home, and/or prayer. You'll primarily find us serving on Sunday mornings in the "Hospitality Suite" off our foyer following the invitation.

Those who serve as First Touch Decision Counselors serve in the following roles:

  1. Answer questions about salvation and lead people to Christ by His Holy Spirit.
  2. Pray for others one-on-one as requested and submit requests.
  3. Ensure connection cards are legibly completed and forwarded to the leadership team in a timely manner.
  4. Explain that the one requirement to become a member of Christ Community is to attend Next Steps New Member Class after church on the first Sundays of the month. (Going to the Hospitality Suite does not someone a member.)
  5. Serve with compassion, empathy, and grace.
  6. Answer questions and direct to appropriate ministries as needed.
  7. Ensure provisions of the Hospitality Suite is maintained.
