A native New Yorker, Lisa Miller Autry gave her life to Jesus Christ in October 1988, accepted her call to the preaching ministry in October 1998, and was ordained as a minister in January 2004. Lisa serves in a wide range of leadership functions and mentoring roles in Christ Community, where her husband, Dr. Terrence Autry, is the Lead Pastor. Lisa also leads Christ Community’s Missions Team. In that regard, she has both led and participated in numerous “exposure” mission trips to Ghana, West Africa; and, actively seeks to develop Kingdom-based partnerships between Christ Community and individuals, churches, and ministries here and abroad.


Lisa’s ministry also incorporates an extensive business background. She retired from a highly-successful 32-year banking career in 2019. Prior to her retirement, Lisa served as Senior Vice President and Dallas Market Manager for a $40 billion banking organization, leading teams of commercial bankers in providing financial services to businesses and non-profits in the Dallas Metroplex. Lisa now serves as a consultant to churches, other non-profit organizations, and entrepreneurs through her firm, Acceleration Advisors, LLC (


In July 2020, Lisa released her first book, Holy Borrowers: Equipping Church Leaders for Building Finance, available on, Amazon, and other retail channels. Holy Borrowers has opened the door for church leaders and others to become better equipped in financing a congregation’s largest asset: their church building. Lisa also was a contributing devotional writer to Aspire: The New Women of Color Study Bible published by Zondervan in 2005.


Lisa’s educational background includes a Master’s degree in Cross-Cultural Ministries from Dallas Theological Seminary, an M.B.A. degree in Finance & Marketing from The Anderson School of Management at UCLA, and a B.A. degree in Economics from Brown University. She has served on numerous boards, including Dallas Leadership Foundation and the Executive Committee of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. Lisa currently serves on the board of WorldVenture, a global missions organization “engaging the world for gospel impact,” and Let’s Elevate, Inc., a 501(c)(3) corporation that seeks to encourage and empower children and youth. Lisa also is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the National Association of Colored Women.


Lisa’s heartfelt passion and commitment lie in helping individuals, companies, and communities “get where they’re going” for the Glory of God. She desires that every person know the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior, that they might fully experience His love, purpose, and power in their lives. She and her husband have been married for over 30 years and are the proud parents of two young adult sons, Terrence, II and Daniel.
