Christ Community Funerals
It is through the Word of God that we have hope at the death of a loved one; yet, we also understand that even for Christians, the death of one who has been close, regardless of the circumstances, is a time of significant loss and grief. It is our desire and privilege to minister to the family and friends of our congregation in their time of need. But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve like other people who have no hope. (1 Thessalonians 4:13 ISV)
A Christian Funeral, Memorial Service, or Celebration of Life (hereafter referred to as a funeral”) may play a healing part in the grieving process. It is usually a time when family members and friends gather to honor and celebrate the life of the deceased, to offer support to one another following the loss, and to draw on the resources of our faith. It is a time for
Christians, even in the face of death, to confess our faith in a living Lord.
Based on this affirmation, this Funeral Policy is intended to provide guidance for our members in the passing of a loved one. We are here to support you.
