A native New Yorker, Lisa Miller Autry gave her life to Jesus Christ in October 1988, accepted her call to ministry in October 1998, and was ordained as a minister in January 2004. Lisa serves in a wide range of leadership functions and mentoring roles at Christ Community, where her husband, Dr. Terrence Autry, is the Lead Pastor. Lisa preaches and teaches in churches and conferences nationally and abroad, and in December 2019, she led a team of 20 women from Christ Community in co-hosting a Women’s Empowerment Conference in Ghana, West Africa.
Lisa retired from a highly-successful 32-year banking career in 2019. Prior to her retirement, she served as Senior Vice President | Dallas Market Manager for a $38 billion banking organization, leading teams of commercial bankers in providing financial services to businesses and non-profits in the Dallas Metroplex. Lisa now serves as a consultant to non-profit and for-profit organizations through her firms, Holy Borrowers, LLC and Acceleration Advisors, LLC. Lisa was featured in Precious Times magazine as one of its “50 Faithful,” and was a contributing devotional writer to Aspire: The New Women of Color Study Bible published by Zondervan. In July 2020, Lisa released her first book, Holy Borrowers: Equipping Church Leaders for Building Finance, which has been widely hailed by church leaders, entrepreneurs, and bankers alike.
Lisa’s educational background includes a Master’s degree in Cross-Cultural Ministries from Dallas Theological Seminary, an M.B.A. degree in Finance & Marketing from The Anderson School of Management at UCLA, and a B.A. degree in Economics from Brown University. She has served on numerous boards, including the “Circle of Friends” Board for New Friends New Life, Dallas Leadership Foundation and the Executive Committee of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce, and currently is the Chairwoman of Let’s Elevate, Inc.
Lisa’s heartfelt passion and commitment lie in helping individuals, companies, and communities “get where they’re going” for the Glory of God. She desires that every person know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, that they might fully experience His love, purpose, and power in their lives.
